MEMBERSHIP
1. MEMBERSHIP RECRUITMENT (‘98) (Revised ’02)
WHEREAS: The South Dakota Stockgrowers Association have developed a membership committee which is to be chaired by the current vice president and co-chaired by a member, director or regional vice president; and
WHEREAS: The regional vice presidents or directors shall conduct area meetings. In the odd-numbered years the odd-numbered districts shall have area meetings. In the even-numbered years, the even-numbered districts shall have area meetings.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: The South Dakota Stockgrowers Association shall continue to support this membership plan.
2. FEDERAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE REPRESENTATION (‘94)
WHEREAS: Actions, proposed actions, and activities taken by advisory committees established under the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) have a significant impact on the beef and live cattle industries; and
WHEREAS: Under FACA, Congress has already determined that it is good policy to provide for equitable participation of all affected parties.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: The South Dakota Stockgrowers Association strongly urge Congress and the Administration to provide for equitable beef and live cattle industries representation in all advisory committees considering issues that impact the beef and live cattle industries.
